Job Description : The Engineering Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and development of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned frameworks.

Role Description:We are seeking a developer with good skills in Java, J2ee, Hibernet, Spring boot, Oracle and PL/SQL. The successful candidate will interact with the Stakeholders, Development Project Manager, the development, testing, and production support teams. The candidate would be responsible for the design, development of the modules specifically targeted for Java, J2ee, Hibernet, Spring boot, Oracle and PL/SQL and a good functional knowledge on Payments domain.The ideal candidate will be dependable and resourceful software professional who can comfortably work in a large development team in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment that fosters diversity, teamwork and collaboration. The ability to work in high-pressure environment is essential.
The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Candidate will work independently and is highly self-motivated.Experience in all phases of software development (plan, design, develop, test, release, maintain &support)Understanding of existing, new & emerging technologies and knows when and how to apply to achieve business outcomesProactively notify Development Project Manager of risks, bottlenecks, problems, issues, and concerns.Compliance with Citi’s System Development Lifecycle and Information Security requirements.Will work closely with Quality Control teams to deliver quality software to agreed project schedules.Work with Product owner and understand all functional and technical requirements of the project.
Providing second line production support including root cause analysis for the developed software solutions.
Experience in Agile (SAFe) and tools like JIRA is must Coordinate release management and bug/defect triaging by pulling required stakeholders on to triage calls
Technical proficiency:Strong understanding of object oriented analysis & programmingCore Java (ideally Java 8)Java frameworks (ideally Spring/Spring Boot/Hibernate/ibatis)Hands on SOA & Microservices utilizing REST, SOAP etc.JavaScript,MockitoCreation and use of RESTful web servicesRDBMS and SQL/PLSQLKnowledge on Relational databases like no-SQL, mongoDB, etc.Knowledge on Jenkins, TeamCity, Code Quality Tools SonarQube, etc.Knowledge on with Agile process and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Git)Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and communication skills.

Nice to have:
Knowledge on modern UI development using Angular v4, 5, 6, or 7
Knowledge on Java Script framework such as Reactive Programming concepts (RxJs), Angular4.0+, TypeScript, SCSS and HTML5
Knowledge on Kafka.
Hands-on on Payments domain
Qualifications:
4 to 6 years of experience as a software developer
Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
Project Management experience
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
Education:
