Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Social Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in data and analytics.
Experience with SQL database queries/analysis, and writing code in web or mobile development language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, PHP, Android, or iOS).
Preferred qualifications:

Experience with fraud risk management and investigations, Internet advertising, or e-commerce.
Experience working in a security and/or privacy team on data protection and user trust.
Understanding of how the Internet works economically, socially, and technically.
Ability to identify workflow pain points, optimize, and scale processes.
Excellent communication skills.
Comfortable interacting with internal and external users.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you’re a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed – with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

Trust and Safety has expanded beyond traditional product protections to focus on additional types of abuse such as brand safety, controversial content, and political interference. We have advanced the ways we protect our users and continue to demonstrate expertise across Google’s growing array of products and services.
In this role, you’ll be an excellent operator and will collaborate with many teams both within and outside of Trust and Safety. You will be expected to bring in a passion for abuse fighting, a focus on putting the user first, and deliver excellent business results. You will partner with Engineering, Product, Legal, Policy, and Scaled Operations team to drive operational performance and lower abuse rates.

Responsibilities
Perform complex data analysis to derive insight from our vast data stores.
Collaborate with cross-functional groups such as Engineering, Product Policy, Sales, and Legal to increase automation, update policies, fix product loopholes, and provide a better online experience for our users.
Enhance our operational workflows via process improvements and identify automation opportunities.
Manage and work on escalations related to policy violating content serving across different products and networks.
