We apply state-of-the-art text- and image-based machine learning to their corporate customers’ legal contracts. You will be a “Senior Machine Learning Engineer – NLP” with the Machine Learning team, with responsibilities including analyzing text extraction problems, data mining to explore different hypotheses, massaging raw data, developing, and running experiments, analyzing results, producing product-ready deployable models, collaborating with the machine learning team and attorney taggers, and communicating your findings to technical and non-technical leadership.
Requirements:
GPA 3.0+ in a Computer Science or Data Science program from a 4-year university. MS preferred.
At least 4 years’ experience in commercial text-based machine learning (Location: Remote India)
Ability to understand complex problems, decompose them into a set of testable hypotheses, implement bug-free experiments, analyze the results, and produce insights, solutions, and next steps from the analysis.
Ability to work mostly independently and collaborate in small teams. Self-motivated solution seeker.
Excited to write great code, get close to the data, and create great ML models.
Proven record of accomplishment hypothesizing, implementing, evaluating, and deploying commercial solutions to “real world” NLP-ML text extraction problems.
Fluent in written and spoken English, able to communicate with precision.
Experience with all or most of:
Python 3.x, jupyter notebook, regular expressions
Deep Learning and Frameworks: PyTorch, spaCy, Keras
Deep Learning Architectures: LSTM, CNN, Self-Attention and Transformers
Hypothesis generation; Evaluation and sampling methodologies
Named Entity Recognition, Classification, Information Extraction, Co-Reference Resolution
Feature extraction and ad-hoc analytic & modelling approaches
MySQL; and proficient with SQL queries
