Purpose of the Position

Commissioning of Generator, Power Transformer, AVR, excitation transformer. Routine / lab Testing , Commissioning & troubleshooting of protection relays & schemes for Generator , AVR , HT / LT Switchgear & Motors for all Five units as a primary responsibility & extend support for all jobs concerning to BTG area.

Principle Accountabilities
(Strategic, Operational, Financial, People development & growth etc.)
Organizing & Monitoring Maintenance as per plan.
Identifying Spares requirements.
Identify and Implement best practices
Identifying System Improvement through innovative ideas & best practices.
Implement work practises
To ensure safe working practices at site through JSA, SRFA, PTW Audits, Chetna processes.

Role & Responsibilities
Monitor & control PM, RM, CBM, break down maintenance of Generator and associated auxiliaries.
Plan outage works for Generator and associated auxiliaries.
Monitor and execution of Annual overhaul maintenance
Interface with other departments to achieve set plant goals.
Identifying System Improvement through innovative ideas & best practices.
Practice & implement Safety measures for departmental staff to achieve zero accidents goal.
Monitor contractor’s works to perform timely & quality work.
Inventory management & Spare management
Act together with other departments to achieve set plant goals
Preparation of job specific JSA. Conducting TBTs for worker. Ensuring safety training for workmen.
Involved in PTW audit, thus ensuring safety.
