Job Description : Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Manage whole product creation process for the Sportwear models in support to BU (Business Unit), ensuring the transition from design to manufacturing properly.
Fully accountable of development and commercialization processes within the assigned products in adhesion to product integrity, development calendars, targets of costing targets, efficiency, localization, speed, sustainability and especially compliance to quality & SEA standard.

Key Responsibilities:
Accountability to drive and own the product development, deliver against the brief, materials and design innovation.

Work cross functionally with key partners in SPW Operating Team (Design/MKT) and LO/T1 Development Teams to realize the vision of the products and category.

Ensure all development milestones are achieved in a fast-paced creation process.

Play a partner role with Marketing and Designer, to understand the project expectation as well as to provide them the picture of manufacturing process, technical point of view, materials.

Manage the development and commercialization process of assigned products in collaboration with Tier 1 factory personnel and technical teams. Provides specific technical expertise to ensure effective transition of footwear design into physical and digital samples and production while ensuring the manufacturability, material selection, material standards, development timeline and cost to target are met.

Manage factory to ensure Create to Value approach and product integrity is at the paramount priority and focus.

Explain product requirement and standards to factory and /or LO teams to achieve shared goals.

Understanding Digital Creation process, providing guidance to T1 wherever needed, having immediate action to solve issue whenever it happens.

Ensure digital prototype created by the suppliers is a true representative of designers’ intention and can be executed in manufacturing area.

Support transfer process and ensure timeline of package in and out. Provide support to LOD at receiving factory on all open topics.

Influence key stake-holders as Asia SPW Operating Team (Design & MKT), Quality, Production teams and external parties (T1, T2, Sub-Con …) and drive changes using consumer-centric, principles vs policies driven with adi Dassler Standards as the center of focus in managing/solving conflicts.

Make day to day decisions within defined scope (with support on complex issues)

Execute defined directives & the requirements from the mgmt. team.

Asia Sportwear Teams (Design, Marketing).
LO Operations & Functional Teams.
FTY teams (Digital Creation, Development & Commercialization & Tech & Sample Room…)
Tier 2 and Sub-Cons.
Other POPS teams, HK Sourcing team, Innovation team.
Leadership teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Have growth mindset, good engineering background and project management skills.
Have a good understanding on Digitalization and Creative mindset.
With minimal input and feedback, can identify problems and provide solutions to complex development/ commercialization issues.
Fluent in English, Good communication / presentation skills.

Requisite Education and Qualifications:
University degree preferably on shoe making or engineering.
3+ years production, development or related experience in Footwear industry as Materials, Costing, IE, Lean, Tooling, Pattern engineering …
Good knowledge of shoes manufacturing process. Ability to read shell patterns, 2D and 3D blueprints, spec sheets, cost breakdowns, etc…
Passion and interest in athletic competition, sports or fitness related activities.
