As MD Europe, Real Estate, you will spearhead our growth efforts across all of our European markets. You will manage a team of Regional Directors and local real estate teams across 10+ markets and will grow our portfolio of properties until Sonder is a household name.
AT SONDER YOU WILL:
Ensure we hit our market-level and regional growth targets through strong leadership of the Real Estate org in Europe, including sales management, coaching, and performance tracking
Guide both national and market-specific growth strategies to ensure a healthy pipeline of multi-family and/or hotel real estate
Support the Global Head of Real Estate in strategy around lender relationships, security facilities, and other key initiatives
Mentor and manage the performance of RDs and build out a regional staffing and professional development plan of your growing org
Remove roadblocks in key deals and assist with strategic partnerships
Contribute to improving our pitch, collateral, underwriting, and deal process globally
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
Solid real estate experience with a range of asset classes (Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, and Retail). You master all aspects of real estate development: equity structures, financing considerations, construction, lease-up, and exit.
You can thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment with high transaction volume and are able to pivot team objectives to hit changing company goals.
You have led high performance multi-level real estate teams in the past. You have strong EQ, management skills, and a strategic mindset.
You can deftly navigate the public policy environment and have a knack for understanding and influencing the legal/regulatory framework.
You’re an outstanding communicator with the ability to communicate complex deals in simple terms to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
