Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA Management Accountant to join our UK Finance team. The role is based in our Central London offices in Central St. Giles alongside three International Divisions of Comcast. The individual will assist with the preparation of the management accounts across the 1 of the UK entities, as well as, international scope. The individual will be responsible for performing monthly operational tasks and assisting with monthly accounting functions to support the rest of the accounting team and the UK finance manager.
Job Description
This role will be a hybrid working role with a mixture of home and office working. Our office is based in a shared space at Central St.Giles, London and works with the following Comcast divisions:
FreeWheel, a Comcast Company, today works with nearly every programmer and Multichannel Video Programming Distributor also help their clients monetize and optimize Intellectual Property and VOD content across platforms. 25% of all US TV ad spend is managed through Freewheel Advertising’s system.
Comcast Corporate Services which provides an internal regulatory function across the Comcast businesses.
Comcast Technology Solutions (CTS) offers high-volume, rapid-turn Video On Demand (VOD) solutions.
Role Responsibility
Key Goals
Supporting the Finance operations across a global entity landscape. Assisting with the monthly accounting operations of a new legal entity within the UK.
Opportunity to work across a variety of finance functions including: Statutory Audit, PSA & P11D reporting, VAT, cost tracking, expenses policies, Capex/Opex etc.
Assisting with the preparation of accurate and timely reports to ensure delivery of Group targets.
Scope & Impact
The International Finance team manages all aspects of the reporting of the Freewheel Group’s results outside of the US.
The UK based International finance team currently oversees the Financial Operations for 6 Comcast entities with the expectation this will increase in the future; FreeWheel Advertisers UK Ltd, Comcast International Singapore PTE, Comcast International Holdings Ltd, Comcast Corporate Services UK ltd, Comcast International Germany GmbH and Comcast Netherlands BV.
Relationships
Key relationships will include UK based Business Managers, US Finance team, Audit, external accounting firms, Legal, HR, Operations and Treasury.
The Ideal Candidate
Knowledge & Skills
Understanding of finance operations and a willingness to support these areas.
Working knowledge of the processes required to complete an end to end month end reporting cycle including preparation of a month end pack.
Excellent communication skills.
Confidence to work with a variety of journals including payroll, capex and TPA journals.
The ability to plan and manage personal workloads to meet tight deadlines is essential.
Experience of working in an AR/AP function would be beneficial.
Education
Part-Qualified ACCA / CIMA Accountant with some industry experience.
Professional Experience
Experience of month end processes in a complex multinational organisation obtained either through industry or practice is desired but not essential.
A genuine interest in the Advertising & Technology sector.
