Job Description : The Opportunity

Our mission is to change the way the world works by democratizing AI for every business, and to build a great company – that everyone loves being a part of. These two goals haven’t changed since the days when Peak was little more than an idea forming in the heads of our founders Richard, Atul and Dave.
It’s an incredibly exciting time at Peak; we’re growing rapidly off the back of our recent $75m Series C funding round, led by SoftBank, and we have very ambitious plans for the future.
We’ve launched a brand new software category, Decision Intelligence, which we want to spearhead and become the trusted, global voice of.
We’re opening up the Peak platform to more organizations, empowering businesses to now build their own Decision Intelligence solutions and applications for the very first time.
All of this means that we’re expanding our team rapidly, with huge growth plans in place. But we know that culture and success come hand in hand, so creating and protecting an amazing company culture that’s true to our values remains really important to Peak and our mission.

This is a great time to join Peak and in particular the People team, where you’ll help to shape the next stage of our global growth.
The Purpose

Build an amazing global organisation by partnering with our teams and empowering our people to achieve great things.
The Role

You’ll partner with one of our business areas and help them achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities

Working with the People team and partnering with managers across the organisation to achieve the following:

Build and protect the Peak culture as we grow. Champion our core values, and make suggestions for how we can bring these to life throughout the employee experience
Supporting managers within the UK, coaching on people matters and providing ongoing advice
Work with managers to translate Peaks strategy from a People perspective for their teams, using people analytics to drive data driven conversations and improvements.
Drive the development of Peaks culture by measuring engagement, and making recommendations for improvements to ensure we’re an organisation that everyone loves to be part of.
Ensure a culture of continuous feedback through the performance management process.
Ensure that Peak offers an attractive and fair reward package.
Support new joiners and their managers through the pre-onboarding and onboarding process, and manage the processes for contractual changes and offboarding.
Continually review HR policies, procedures, and documentation for the UK to ensure they remain compliant. Implement and communicate any changes.
Work with our Talent Managers to provide a first rate hiring and selection process.
Work with the L&D team on development and onboarding for your business areas
Be a Peak ambassador, through networking and thought leadership opportunities.
Seek ways to ensure external recognition for Peak’s commitment to our people, through awards and accreditations.
Maintain knowledge of up-to-date employment legislation and current employment trends. Make recommendations for Peak.
Work closely with the global People team to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing, and provide cover for other offices as required.
Drive and support with D&I initiatives.

Personal Skills

Peak’s growth has been fuelled by our values and they underpin everything we do, here’s how they relate to this role:

Open – you are approachable and friendly, building rapport across the business and collaborating with teams.
Driven – you identify efficiencies in processes and then make it happen.
Curious – looking for new ways to support the development of others and understand the challenges and opportunities in our teams
Smart – you stay up-to-date with People / HR trends, always thinking creatively and sees a challenge as an opportunity.
Responsible – your attention to detail is fantastic and you act with integrity when handling confidential and sensitive personal information.

Required Experience

Recognised HR qualification and / or demonstrable experience in a generalist HR role.
You’ll have had experience in business partnering, or you’ll be looking to take that next step.
Experience working as part of a global team (advantageous), or in a fast-growing start-up or scale-up environment.
Great at building relationships with others across the business.
Confident in advising and coaching team mates across all roles
Passion for maintaining a great culture where people love to work, and ability to continuously make recommendations for improving the experience of team members.
Keen interest in people analytics. Previous experience of analysing or working with data would be advantageous.

We’ve been striving to build a diverse and inclusive team from the outset. It’s a continuous journey, and there’s more we can do – but we’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, which is well ahead of the tech industry standard.
We’ve set targets in relation to gender and ethnicity, for now, but we know there’s more to diversity than just these two areas. We’re passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for those of all ages, religions, sexual orientations, socio-economic status and for those with disabilities.
