Job Description : NWL CCG are looking for a self-motivated and dynamic allied health professional to play an essential and strategic role in the development of our Post-Covid Pathway. This is an innovative and exciting role and you will be responsible for working across organisational boundaries and with a number of different professional groups and service user forums. You will be developing and facilitating a high quality, evidence based education and development programme which supports staff across the pathway.
The post is 0.4wte secondment or fixed term contract for a year and will be hosted by Central and North West London’s Clinical Education Team who will provide regular supervision and education expertise. You will however be accountable to the NWL CCG Post-Covid pathway steering group and you will need to establish and maintain close working relationships with the NWL Programme team and governance bodies.
We are looking for a Clinical Leader who is interested in education and supporting others and who has the confidence to work on a complex developing pathway across North West London.

This 0.4 wte role is a strategic role across the NWL Health sector, and will interface with acute, community and primary care service providers, as well as NWL patients and carers engagement groups/representatives, individuals and interest groups. The postholder will coordinate and facilitate the training and development needs of the staff working in the post-Covid pathway across North West London.
The post-holder will be responsible for completing a multi-disciplinary learning needs analysis across the different disciplines working in the pathway and informed by input from service user forums. The postholder will also develop and resource a training plan which supports all staff to feel confident and competent to:
determine referral need, conduct holistic and comprehensive patient assessments and provide subsequent care including appropriate referrals and signposting to further services across the pathway
ensure that Post COVID Syndrome assessment and treatment services are available to those communities with known disparity in COVID-19 and Post COVID-19 outcomes and risks
The post-holder will be hosted within Central and North West London’s Clinical Education Team who will provide regular supervision and educational expertise but the post-holder will be accountable to the NWL Post Covid steering group.

Vaccination
The statutory requirement to be fully Covid-19 vaccinated as a condition of deployment from April 2022 is subject to legislative review. The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users and we will therefore be seeking proof of vaccination or medical exemption during the recruitment process. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings
You will be expected to work across the post-Covid pathway in NWL to conduct a multi-disciplinary learning needs analysis with staff working in all elements of the pathway. You will also be expected to build relationships with service users and service user forums and facilitate their input into the learning needs analysis.
You will also be responsible for maintaining awareness of regional and national professional education programmes and up to date best practice guidance and disseminating suitable up-to-date reference material to various clinical working groups
You will develop an evidence based, high quality multi-disciplinary education plan for the staff working in the post-Covid pathway informed by best practice, service user feedback and the learning needs analysis. The plan will include:
Coordinating existing education and training opportunities
Identifying gaps in education provision and developing or commissioning education opportunities to fill them
Development and facilitation of whole-system education and training through webinars, groups sessions, for acute, community and primary care clinicians
You will be responsible for:
liaising with NWL Patient Education programmes to ensure consistency of guidance and messaging across professional and public forums
curating professional education material presented on the NWLCCG website (or other agreed sites) and regularly reviewing this material in line with emerging evidence
ensuring staff feel confident and competent to champion health equalities for treatment and access, with particular reference to the digital inequalities that may result from treatment options offers and to ensure adequate alternatives are available
Working with the Living With app developers to set up a knowledge and skills development programme for all relevant professionals in the Post Covid Pathway in NWL
Managerial and Personal Responsibilities
Act as a role model and Clinical Lead
Develop a project plan aimed at delivering effective education across all parts of the post-Covid pathway to be signed off by the NWL post-Covid steering group and including: • Key milestones and outputs to be achieved by when
Clear governance and reporting structure
Consideration of sustainability of all education and development opportunities beyond the lifespan of the project
Build and maintain a strong relationship with the NWL Post-Covid steering group and provide regular update reports to the group
Work effectively across professional and organisational boundaries and recognise that different groups who are part of the NWL post-Covid pathway may have different agendas and priorities
Maintain registration with a relevant professional body and keep an up-to-date supervision record with professional lead
Work in ways that promotes and demonstrates respect for services users, colleagues and carers
Participate in supervision, annual appraisal and Personal Development Planning (PDP)
Contribute to the development and review of education policies and professional standards across the post-Covid pathway
Manage education projects within agreed timescales and standards
Maintain external links with national bodies to ensure our practice is in line with national guidance
Maintain links with HEI’s to ensure student support is managed and staff are aware of HEI ongoing training and development across the career path
