We are lookiang for talented software engineers to join our MSCI Model Engineering team in Mumbai/Pune office. The position is crucial to develop and enhance MSCI factor models product offering. The call for reproducibility and customization of modeling experience asks for a robust technology team supporting adaptive modeling frameworks, model production and monitoring along with modern distribution capabilities.
The developer operates within the framework of the MSCI Model Engineering technology stack and is expected to contribute to its development. Through constant interaction with architecture and framework owners she/he can put these components in action towards the assigned objective.

Your key responsibilities

Build out the next iteration of factor model framework and systems
Enhance the automated operations capabilities of the factor model factory
Improve quality assurance software towards higher signal-to-noise ratio through deployment of anomaly detection techniques (traditional, machine learning based, etc.)
Introduce API based model artifact and process delivery mechanisms
Excellent analytical skills are a must (algorithms, data structures, and statistics)
Strong knowledge of Python and related ecosystems (Numpy, Pandas, XArray)
Working knowledge on internals of Jupyter Notebook
Docker and Kubernetes (Azure cloud and Azure Kubernetes Service will be a plus)
Committed test-driven/quality oriented SDLC proven experience
Experience working in Linux environments and good understanding of security.
Experience in building scalable systems, in the financial industry being a plus
Candidate should have a flair for Site Reliability Engineering given the scale of the platform and needs to have prior experience as a key contributor in production grade systems and operations

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

B.E/B.Tech/M.S/M.Tech is Computer Engg, Computer Science or related fields
Familiarity with cloud-based platforms like Azure is a definite plus
Experience in building client-facing API services is a plus
Experience with SQL and No-SQL databases
