Job Description : mx51 is a payments-as-a-service solution for banks, non-bank acquirers, and other merchant service providers. We are building a payment platform that allows merchants to accept payments in-store, in-app and online, whilst consolidating all their data on a real-time business management dashboard.

We’ve just secured our Series A (led by Mastercard) and are about to kick off on an incredible growth journey. We’re looking for driven people to join our team, help scale our operations and create positive merchant experiences through our multi-channel solution.
We are looking for a Full time permanent QA Automation Test Engineer to work in our Front End chapter in the Engineering team. The Automated Software Test Engineer will be responsible for the writing and execution of Automated Tests for Front End components across mx51. You will work alongside the Development, Product and Design teams to ensure high quality of delivered features. You will be involved in the early stage feature design and become product experts as your experience with our products grows. Not only that, you will influence the introduction of new tools, testing paradigms, and best practices to the team. You will be our gatekeeper to the quality of our solution, and your attention to detail will help ensure we create great products.

Key Responsibilities:

Specifies, develops and writes test plans and test scripts, produces test cases, carries out regression testing, and uses automated test software applications to test the behaviour, functionality and integrity of systems, and documents the results of tests in defect reports and related documentation.

Day to day:

Build and extend test automation capabilities of our of Front End components
Perform ad-hoc exploratory testing of new features using your knowledge of our products
Ensure our test automation solution is using best practices where appropriate, and introduce new methods when required
Create test plans for new features and releases.
Create reports to show the completeness of features before release

Your skills and experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Automation Engineer
Experience using front end automation Frameworks using Test Cafe, Cypress, Selenium or similar
Experience testing ecommerce payment products and web based applications
Experience with tools such as Postman, Charles,
Experience using CD / CI tools such Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Buildkite
Experience working in a fast paced agile environment
Experience testing third party integrations such as identity or payment integrations such as card gateways, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay
Comfortable using SQL
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
Managing end to end testing
Tertiary education in a computer science (or related) field

Nice to have:

Experience using/testing functionality in ecommerce platforms like Magento, BigCommerce or Shopify
Some experience testing of mobile applications on Android and /or iOS
Knowledge or experience of security testing
