Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our small team of QA Engineers in assessing software quality through manual and automated testing.
The QA Team Lead performs pre-release, post-release, and change control testing of the software and mobile app.
You will help write tests and are responsible for providing feedback to product and development teams during testing.
Post release, you are responsible for communicating with the PS and Sales teams to assist in implementing specific features and configurations for customers and prospects.
You are responsible for making sure the customer support documents in the Help Center are up to date with current product features.
You will work collaboratively cross-functionally with multiple teams including Product, Engineering, Services, and overall organizational goals to deliver high-quality software.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead QA to achieve successful deliverables
Act as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources
Mentor other QA team members testing strategies, best practices, and effective collaboration
Collaborate with the development and product manager to define future training and toolset needs for the team
Review historical, existing, and ongoing bug reports to identify areas needing specific attention
Create and maintain comprehensive supporting documentation in customer help centers relating to new enhancements after each release
Participate in the full testing life cycle, including requirements validation, test planning, and test case identification/development, development of test automation framework, functional testing, performance testing and user acceptance testing
Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate testing scenarios and facilitate testing
Execute pre-release, post-release, and change control tests of the software and mobile app in accordance with the test cases developed/provided in a timely manner and with high quality
Analyze tests for coverage of performance, data, and functionality (think beyond what is expected of the software and think about how users can misuse the software)
Track all enhancements and defects discovered while executing test cases
Identify, document, and communicate any coding bugs or QA related issues as they arise
Work with developers to explain steps taken to recreate issues/bugs
Work as part of an Agile Scrum team to ensure a successful product delivery
Suggest and negotiate product testability enhancements and process improvements
Ensure traceability from business requirements and technical specifications to test conditions and problem reports
Evaluate product code according to specifications
Create logs to document testing phases and defects
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Conform to company standard operating procedures

Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills:
Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies
3+ years experience as a Software Tester or data analysis
Experience in project management and QA methodology
Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
Working knowledge of test management tools and software (e.g. squash, qTest, Zephyr)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Productive self-starter, proactive, organized
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking aptitude
Good time-management skills
Fluency in English, excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with the Agile and Scrum methodology and tools (Jira)
Experience testing secure, scalable & resilient client/server applications
Experience using relational databases/PostgreSQL, REST API, and SAAS technologies
Knowledge of DICOM, HL7, medical imaging and radiology workflows
Knowledge of various open-source automation tools
Experience leading a distributed team
