Job Description : Products, R&D and Production business function is responsible for ensuring that Basware continues to provide its customers with industry leading SaaS solutions to simplify operations and spend smarter. This global function creates and executes the product strategy, new product innovations, roadmap, design, product development and product launches for Basware’s global product portfolio. Together with other Basware units, Products, R&D and Production ensures that our customers can successfully meet their business objectives through cooperating with Basware and using our product and service portfolio.
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and perform software tests to ensure we release the highest quality products that meet client needs. Responsibilities include designing and executing test plans, developing manual and automated TestCases, and debugging and reporting bugs. The QA engineer will be required to deliver E2E (end to end) QA testing across a software stack spanning multiple internal and external systems.
Our ideal candidate will have experience with ERP and accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Sage, Xero), and knowledge of accounting processes and electronic invoicing (e.g. P2P, Q2C/O2C). Experience with P2P software is a plus (e.g. Basware, Coupa, SAP Ariba).
The QA engineer role plays an important part in our product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests during development to validate requirements, performing UAT (user acceptance testing) for product releases, and providing support for customer implementation projects as required.
Responsibilities
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing
Estimate, prioritize, plan, coordinate and execute testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts where possible
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Work closely with internal teams to test new features (e.g. developers, product managers, delivery & support)
Work closely with internal teams to provide testing support for customer implementation projects (e.g. delivery & support)
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents as required to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Investigate the causes of software issues and train users to implement solutions
Configuring test environments and tools according to instructions
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated 5+ years’ experience with manual and automated testing (or software development) with web based software
Experience in open source tools with exposure to below is a plus:
Eclipse / IntelliJ IDE
Junit/TestNG
Maven/Gradle
SQL / MongoDB
GIT
Cucumber
Selenium WebDriver
Robot Framework
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Ability to write clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Demonstrated experience in test planning, test design, test strategy, and test execution
Efficient with AWS environments or other cloud environments
Knowledge of accounting processes and electronic invoicing (e.g. P2P, Q2C/O2C)
Experience with P2P software is a plus (e.g. Basware, Coupa, SAP Ariba).
Strong debugging skills and ability to write bug reports
Ability to write code/scripting in languages like XML, JSON, SQL, JavaScript
Java Programming experience
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Strong organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results
Creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness for the entire team
Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings
Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
