Job Description : Apple Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector on behalf of one of our key clients, a well-known home developer, on a full-time permanent basis.
You will be located across North London, you must hold a valid driver’s licence and be flexible with working hours and location as some work maybe outside of North London, Salary £36,000pa.
Responsibilities;
Responsible and accountable for Stage 16 & 17 inspections
Monitor build programme and ensure the 28-day handover process is adhered to
Escalate any delays in 28 days handover process to the Head of Customer Service
Familiarise and hold a good understanding of the product type
Inspection of properties to ensure a 5* status is achieved and maintained
Liaise with Head of Customer Services in regards to trends of defects reported by customers
Operate within the Health & Safety practices required on site
Provide advice on quality expectations to members of the site team before, during and after site inspections and benchmark standard of development
Log all defects and take relevant evidence using the M Inspector app
Ensure build complete as per 28-day procedures
Ensure documentation is in place to enable build complete
Where appropriate assist the Sales team with legal completion
Where appropriate undertake Home Tours
Escalate any issues or risks to the appropriate person
Familiarise and hold a good understanding of required policies and procedures
Plan and organise own time in an effective and efficient manner ensuring that customer needs and project timescales are met
Requirements;
Must have experience working as a QI for a housing developer/housing association
Experience working as a NHBC Building Inspector
Experience onsite during a residential build process
Construction related qualification such as NVQ, HNC, HND, C&Gs or equivalent
NVQ in Site Inspection
Knowledge of Standards (National Housebuilding Council, British Standards, Building Regulations) as well as an understanding of the design process
Stakeholder management with the ability to influence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pro-active approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Methodical approach & tenacious attention to detail
Ability to organise and prioritise effectively
