The Role

Cottenham Village College has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Receptionist and Administration Assistant to join their team!

We wish to appoint a full-time Receptionist and Administration Assistant to manage the college reception area and be the first point of contact for all visitors. This is a very important post; the successful candidate will be the ‘face’ of the college.

As our Receptionist and Administrative Assistant, you will be:

A good communicator with the ability to deal calmly and sensitively to both students and visitors;
Managing the signing in and out of all visitors by keeping the signing-in book accurate and up-to-date, and issuing identity badges;
Maintaining security and safety standards, ensuring visitors are escorted and contractors do not have access to areas without the appropriate authorisation or supervision maintained;
Providing a general administration support to the college;
Using the parentmail/App;
Providing cover and support for First Aid when necessary by attending to all student and staff medical needs.

We are looking for individuals who have:

Previous experience of providing administrative support with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Emergency First Aid Certificate or the willingness to be a trained First Aider;
Ability to prioritise and manage the conflicting demands effectively and promptly.
A professional first impression and courteous telephone manner.
