Job Description : Key Job Areas of Responsibilities : Conducts analytical and experimental tools developments within S&B organization.Takes accountability for planning and budget for his own projects.Accountable for documenting, presenting and reporting projects against a committed timeline.Leads the collaboration with x-functional teams in the context of his/her projectsMaintain relationship with top players in the field of expertise (universities, labs, suppliers,…) in order to anticipate trends, stay on top of industry best practices and define the best strategy for tools developmentCollaborate with the bearing development engineers and Subject Matter Experts to ensure a continuous improvement of the simulation and testing toolsEnsure the training of development engineers on the tools in the area of expertiseSupport product development and application launches launch issues and field issues when appropriateKey Skills & Knowledge: Min 6 years in handling engineering tools (code) development in industrial environment. Experience in Mechanical System and Automotive Industry is a plus.Highly skilled in understanding product and process design tradeoffs.Demonstrate strong knowledge in programming, specifically ANSYS Customization Tool (ACT) using C / Python / IronPython and MS Excel VBAStrong acumen towards data science, process automation and parametric model development is desired.Knowledge and expertise on bearings systems is an added advantage.Strong communication skillsHands-on approachEducation: Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.This is an exciting time to join Garrett Motion!
