Job Description : Main Responsibilities:
We seek a high caliber candidate to lead the coordination and management of Requests for Proposals (“RFPs”) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (“DDQs”), supporting the firm’s business development efforts. This position provides a unique opportunity to work across asset classes (multi-asset, fixed income, equities and alternatives) and vehicles (SMAs, funds). The candidate will manage multiple projects concurrently, working with firm’s global base of Subject Matter Experts (“SMEs”) to create client- focused responses. The ideal candidate will have and interest in or working knowledge of investment products, a clear and concise writing style, strong project management/organizational, communication, analytical/deduction skills along with high personal standard and commitment.
Manage and coordinated the completion of RFPs and DDQs for the alternatives assets class, globally.
Collaborate with global SMEs, such as sales, portfolio managers, product specialists and management.
Communicate clearly with team members and SMEs.
Create compelling, precise, client-focused RFP responses.
Craft customize responses drawing from stock language as needed.
Create well-formed, coherent responses for information received from SMEs.
Build an in-depth knowledge of the firm’s product offerings across asset classes, platforms, and overall investment capabilities.
Maintain product profiles and investment process language for key product areas.
Proactively manage, update and organize RFP responses in the Content Database leveraged by the global team.
Commit to improving the efficiency of the RFP process and the quality of our responses for our clients, consultants and prospects.
Build an understanding of clients, consultants and prospects differing needs and levels of sophistication, in order to tailor responses to the target audience.
Adhere to strict deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously, in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with the ability to assess and reprioritize projects based on client needs (internally and externally).
QUALIFICATIONS
RFP project management experience required with financial services industry.
Have an interest in working in a fast-paced sales environment, being able to stay focused.
Be detail oriented with an emphasis on organization, formatting and time management.
Have strong communication skills, including technical writing and editing.
Exhibit problem-solving skills and be able to analyze data.
Have a strong work ethic, high standards, being able to take accountability and responsibility.
Be a team player with interpersonal skills and have an interest in building connections across the global firm.
Exhibit strong listening and probing skills.
Have personal integrity and be client service oriented.
Be enthusiastic, adaptable, forward thinking, self-motivated and energetic.
Be able to work independently and in collaboration with team members.
Technical Qualifications:
MBA / Graduate degree holder, preferably in business, finance or economics.
4-5 years of alternatives investment management experience and/or RFPs/DDQs/client service experience; relevant or transferable experience may be considered.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
