Job Description : We are looking for an outstanding Senior Software Engineer with Android Audio expertise to join our Tegra Audio software team in India!
The role requires an excellent track record in Audio stack development from the low level drivers all the way up to application layers.You will be closely working with a very experienced team of recognized specialists, in delivering innovative Audio software for next-gen Tegra SOC platforms that goes into products such as NVIDIA Shield TV- https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/shield/ .
What you’ll be doing:
Bring-up latest Android Audio software components on next-gen Tegra platforms and products.
Enable pioneering custom Audio software features as per product requirement.
Influence, craft and develop groundbreaking Audio technologies on next-gen Tegra SOCs.
Support bug fixes, feature enhancement requests, improve on the efficiency and ensure the robustness of the software.
Collaborate with multi-functional and diverse teams across globe in resolving sophisticated matters.
What we need to see:
Bachelors or a higher degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of validated experience in system software development.
Excellent C, C++ programming and debugging skills.
Sound grasp of Android Audio Architecture and Linux OS internals.
Experience in customizing Android Audio HAL, AudioPolicyManager and Audioflinger components.
Practice in writing Audio drivers for Linux or other RTOS.
Experience with Multimedia frameworks such as Stagefright, Gstreamer, OpenMAX.
Background in handling audio playback/record/routing use cases across different I/O peripherals HDMI, A2DP, USB.
Knowledge of audio DSP concepts, audio codec compression standards [AAC/Mp3/Dolby/DTS], audio pre/post processing algorithms Echo & Noise cancellation, Dynamic range compression , Equalizers etc.
Must be highly motivated with a positive demeanor!
