About this role:
We’re looking for a Senior Android Engineer to assist our client, one of Australia’s largest FinTech companies.
Reporting to the Delivery Lead, you’ll be involved throughout the delivery life cycle, contributing at every stage. Therefore, you need to be comfortable in a genuine Agile environment and have the ability to translate your technical skills to influence other developers, product managers and senior managers to ensure everyone understands the vision.
$800-1,000 per day, depending on experience. Six-month contract with the ability to work fully remote, with the role operating from Sydney.

Qualifications
What we expect from you:
Significant, proven experience in Android development
Strong Kotlin Android development skills (ideally, you have your own Android app to showcase)
Experience with Cloud-based development and DevOps practices (AWS, ECS, ECR, S3, Lambda etc)
Familiarity with Android architecture patterns and able to contribute to the design of Android applications
Experience with golang, Spring, Hibernate, Microservices and TDD
Some experience with automated testing of Android apps ideally in combination with continuous integration (firebase test lab, buildkite)
A willingness to work in a pairing environment
A collaborative approach to working together with other engineers, product managers, UXers and Visual Designers in an agile environment
Passion for improving user experience and delivering customer values and experience working with UXer’s
Willing to work in a team with mixed expertise (iOS, Android, Java)
