Going through 3GPP standards, architectural and design documents to come up with thorough and in-depth test strategy for 5G SA and NSA features for testing 5G gNodeB functionalities.Building python based automation framework from scratch for 5G access domain productsUnderstanding the APIs for the various test elements and integrating these elements to the automation framework.Enhancing/Adding scripts to the Automation Test FrameworkAbility to create/build test setups as per the test strategy of the feature.Automating feature level test cases and validating the test status based on the expectations for the test case.Getting the automated test cases executed using the automation frameworkDesigning, coding and building tools required for performance testingAbility to fully understand system logs, test tool logs and use this understanding for debugging issues and identifying accurate root causes for the problems seen on the system under test or in the networkUsing the test expertise and identifying overall improvements and enhancements which are possible on the systemDebugging field data and identifying potential problems and re-creating the same in the lab
Desired Skillset:
Self-starter who can come up with the best solution to meet the requirements, likes debugging complex issues and takes pride in building tools from scratch
In-depth knowledge of 5G Access domainThorough understanding of 3GPP specs across L1 L2 and L3.Automation Experience with the knowledge of pythonHands on work experience of testing 5G gNodeBsHands on experience in using test tools including but not limited to
o UE simulators like Aeroflex TM500 and Keysight PRISMA
o UE debuggers like QXDM, XCAL and TEMS
o Channel Emulators
o Network Emulators
o Application traffic generators like iPerf, IxLoad etc
Familiarity with Backend framework using RestAPI, Flask, Django, PostgreSQL or MySQLUnderstanding on any JavaScript framework would be a plus like Vue, React.Familiarity with automation tools like Robot Framework, Appium and SeleniumKnowledge of message flows and parameters used in the messages for 5G proceduresKnowledge in TCP/UDP, IP protocolsLog Analysis using Wireshark ToolExposure to Agile methodologyFamiliarity in bringing up test environment on a virtualized environment including but not limited to Open Stack, Kubernetes pods, Docker containers, VMWare ESXI, Plain KVM Hypervisors
