Position :

Job Description : Support the Control Risks business in India in expanding its profile in key industry sectors and with clients, via a multi-channel content-led marketing approach that supports the business’ priorities.
Marketing & communications strategy
Work closely with the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, Southeast and South Asia, and the South Asia management team to implement a strategic, actionable marketing and communications plan that enhances the brand and drives increased client engagement in the South Asia region
Using best practice marketing techniques, identify and execute a multi-channel approach to deliver key messages and market our thought leadership and content
Develop and manage a calendar of events, both internal and external, which will support the strategic marketing plan
This role sits within the Asia Pacific regional marketing team, and will collaborate closely with members of the regional marketing team, as well as with the global marketing team to leverage regional or global campaigns as much as possible
Media relations

Develop and establish new relationships with key press outlets and journalists to provide greater public relations exposure for Control Risks in India and South Asia
Together with the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager, handle all media activities to increase exposure / awareness of Control Risks, including responding to media queries promptly, monitoring the media, researching opportunities, distributing and following up on any proactive outreach to targeted media
Content development

Research, identify and localise suitable content for marketing on owned and earned media channels. This includes writing and adapting global or regional content for the South Asian audience across a variety of platforms and formats. Such content has to meet business priorities and be highly relevant to clients in South Asia
Identify suitable content and newsworthy angles for media pitching, by keeping abreast of the current issues that are topical in the news, and where Control Risks experts can contribute
Explore appropriate avenues and channels to amplify or maximise the reach of each content piece, and to repurpose existing content

Social media

Ensure there is a continuous flow of content being developed for and published on Control Risks’ social media channels
Work closely with the business to develop and produce such content, which could take a variety of formats including videos, articles, podcasts or infographics

Event management

Plan, manage and deliver all company events including venue selection, virtual platform set-up, budget management, attendee list, invitations, collateral and post-event follow-up.

Sponsorship and associations

Identify and recommend external events of relevance to Control Risks, negotiate sponsorships deals, and manage engagement with the event organisers
Identify key trade associations and professional bodies which Control Risks should engage with in South Asia and manage those relationships to obtain maximum value
Research and identify awards that Control Risks should participate in, as well as possible platforms for digital marketing

Tracking and measurement
Monitor and track all marketing activities and efforts to measure success and effectiveness, and to ensure the correct clients are targeted and supported
Requirements
Essential

At least 5-7 years of working experience in professional service marketing or corporate communications
Proven experience working with the media, and in-depth knowledge of the media landscape in India
Established media contacts with key business publications and journalists in India
Extensive experience in writing and developing content, such as website articles, press releases, media commentaries, thought leadership articles, as well as video and podcast scripts.
Proven experience in executing a creative marketing plan that aligns with key business objectives, with a focus on content-led marketing
Hands-on experience developing content for social media engagement
Experience in providing strategic marketing advice to internal stakeholders, preferably in the consulting sector
Good writing skills and a strong command of English
Good understanding of the risk management and/or professional services sector
Experience in event management and execution

Preferred

Video editing or design skills will be desirable
