Job Description : Senior Finance Business Partner – Finance– London – 12 Month FTC
The Role
We are looking for a new Senior Finance Business partner to join our Finance team in London on a fixed term contract. The Senior Finance Business partner plays a key role in enabling the CIOs and leadership teams of front office functions (Liquid Markets and Real Assets) to meet their financial targets. The role seeks to maximise the profitability and efficiency of the business by advising on commercial opportunities, strategic initiatives and through robust cost management.
The Team
The Business Partnering team provides insight and challenge to ensure Aviva Investors business leaders deliver against the ambitious targets that have been set and can operate with a thorough understanding of the commercial impact of decisions.
Responsibilities
Manage the financial planning and forecasting processes for each function, including translation of ambitious targets to the business, and providing commercial insights to Finance
Be a trusted partner to Front Office functions and senior leadership teams and management of interactions between the business and Finance
Develop and champion desk profitability to ensure process is robust and can reliably inform difficult commercial and strategic decisions
Advise on commercial opportunities including fund feasibilities and client fee proposals to ensure margins and products are protected
Manage engagement with other Finance teams (FP&A, Cost Management, Revenue, Capital), support functions (such as operations, HR, Transformation)
Requirements
Qualified Accountant or equivalent
Degree qualified or equivalent experience
Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
Asset management experience
Strong financial modelling skills
Excellent project management skills including; Strong influencing skills, ability to build relationships and deliver robust challenge at all levels of the business and the ability to develop ‘subject matter expert’ status across multiple business units
High degree of personal initiative and ability to work well as part of a team
Ability to adapt rapidly to meet changing priorities/deadlines
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex messages to internal/external audiences at all levels
