Job Description : Meet Our Team:
IT Infrastructure Monitoring team is responsible for configuring monitoring for PEGA Applications and IT Infrastructure 24*7*365 days. This is a role with a wide range of responsibilities, covering Datacenter, Cloud, Network, System, Application & Database areas. In addition, this role will be responsible for services, systems & maintaining availability across multiple sites globally.

Pega is changing the way the world builds software and being part of IT Infrastructure Monitoring team, you will be managing Monitoring operations in all facets of IT infrastructure.
What You’ll Do at Pega:
Configuring monitoring for our critical systems, applications and services that is both on-prem and cloud. Incident and Alert Management. Working with global stakeholders and configuring proactive monitoring to avoid any potential impact on Production using SolarWinds, Splunk or other monitoring tools
Provide operational support for all PEGA Applications and Infrastructure components such as but not limited to Server, Network, Storage, Active Directory, Office365, Exchange environment. Windows, Linux servers, VMWare Virtualization & cloud environment.
Actively participating in various project discussions, understating monitoring requirements and proactive setting up alerts in Monitoring tools
Help identifying repetitive alerts, work with IT Operations team (ESOC) & Infrastructure / application teams for the root cause and fix any monitoring related issues
Event & Threshold Management, monitoring tools upgrade, keeping up with the security posture for Planned & Unplanned events & Maintenance.
Administration & Customization of SolarWinds modules NPM, SAM, VNQM, NTA and NCM modules
Creating various dashboards based on functional and operational team requirements
Creating reports using Web Reports and report writer
Providing recommendations for Network, Data Center Ops and Systems Operations teams to eliminate potentials outages of systems.
Creating and updating all monitoring related documentation including Standard Operating Procedures and KB Articles.
Formation of Widgets (CPU, RAM, Disk, Mount Volumes & MPLS) for proactive monitoring.
Who You Are:
Must demonstrate the key Pega competencies of Thought Leadership and Drive for Results. Good verbal and written communication skills, including poise in pressure situations while being a team player.
An experienced engineer with strong technical knowledge of Administrating Monitoring platforms like SolarWinds, Splunk, CloudWatch, New Relic, etc.,
Immediate level of knowledge on IT Infrastructure components
Hands on experience working with Multiple stakeholders for proactive monitoring
Accept challenges and bring out of the box ideas to configure monitoring solution
A problem solver who can dive into technical issues and obstacles and identify technical solutions
A detail-oriented professional with the focus of a global scale picture.
Provide recommendations on the design & configuration of monitoring to catch incidents proactively
What You’ve Accomplished:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience
5 – 7 years of experience Administrating Monitoring Applications / solutions
Experience working in On-prem, cloud or hybrid cloud environment
