Job Description : Senior Software Engineer – Core ServicesFULL TIME | ISLAMABADWe are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer specialising in building android applications using Java or Kotlin for TAG, a fintech startup recently valued at USD 100 million after closing Pakistan’s largest seed funding round at the time. TAG is buildingPakistan’s first truly global financial app, offering E-Money Account with a Debit Card.You will be joining a team that builds new products from the ground-up – from integrating with underlying banking and payment infrastructure to building secure public APIs. Their Product & Tech team is distributed across Europe and the Middle East.In this role, you will:Build reliable and scalable microservices to power core functionality of TAG PlatformCollaborate with product managers and help them shape product vision break down complex features into deliverable blocksContribute to building engineering culture by introducing new and improving the existing development practicesMentor and help junior engineers to succeedThe ideal candidate will:Have solid experience building reliable distributed and high-loaded systems Fluency with Java or KotlinHave extensive experience in designing and building REST APIsHave an understanding of modern cloud architectures such as AWS, GCPHave knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQLBe comfortable and efficient working remotelyPreferably also have knowledge of Spring Boot Fintech background DevOps, TerraformAbout the employer:TAG is one of the leading startups in Pakistan to address million of the unbanked population and bring world-class financial services to people.
