As a member of one of the most innovative and fastest growing groups at Pega, you will work closely with talented engineers and product owners across the globe to build a highly scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. Pega’s 1-1 customer engagement solution re-defines how large enterprises interact with the ever-changing needs of their customers across a variety of channels. The Lead Management Marketing System (LMMS) team is a world class B2B implementation of leveraging the latest capabilities of Marketing and Decisioning features of its Customer Decision Hub (CDH) product as part of its Unified CRM approach. The most critical part of any such application is to build a robust application, which in this case needs to handle and efficiently process massive amounts of data, apply appropriate analytical models, and facilitate scalable and performant orchestration of actions – both in real-time and batch. The goal of this team is to not only over exceed the marketing goals of Pega, but also become a reference for customers to visualize a real-world implementation while at the same time provide valuable feedback to improve the overall CDH and Decisioning product we sell outside. That’s a challenging set of expectations to meet. That’s where you come in.

You need to understand the existing functional complexity and planned enhancements. As an SSE you are expected to achieve high quality metrics and maintain application quality score.
In this role, you will be responsible for validating and automating the next generation of enhancements using the Pega’s industry leading ‘Next-Best-Action’ application.
Role involves lots of learning of cutting-edge concepts and technologies and applying what is learnt.
What You’ll Do at Pega:
Work as part of a highly collaborative team surrounded by passionate, fun loving and talented engineers who help in delivering quality features with efficiency
Be part of a dynamic and fast-growing team delivering strategically important solutions for world-class customers.
Provide technical assistance to the team by providing reproducible environments, logs/debug information, regression use cases/test cases, and test assets/infrastructure to advance products’ capabilities and resolve issues.
Coordinate and plan cross-team testing events.
Reduce manual testing efforts through applying innovative testing approaches and technologies.
Ensure all the features delivered have test automation written and executed in the daily build pipelines.
Drive development and execution of the test strategy, test plan and acceptance tests in collaboration with the team for the features delivered by the team.
Ensure the features developed by the Agile team are tested thoroughly within the sprint and release timelines.
Write efficient and fast executing functional test automation scripts using industry standard frameworks and complying to the best practices
Who You Are:
You are passionate about test automation and code quality and eager to develop your skills within an enterprise environment while working with an industry leading product.
You have practical knowledge of software testing best practices, testing terminologies, and writing test automations with at least one technology.
You think outside the box and use your experience for more effective collaboration.
You are competent in test strategy, test planning along with identifying, documenting, and executing test cases.
You understand the flow of code and how it interacts with different components. You are also competent with debugging the test failures.
You share your updates, ideas and plans competently through verbal and written communications. Attention to detail is your proficiency. You actively participate in all the scrum ceremonies to mature and make the team self-organized.
Experience in any Database technologies like Oracle, PostgreSQL, Apache Cassandra will be added advantage
What You’ve Accomplished:
Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology with good academic records
4 – 6 years of software testing experience including both Manual and Automation testing using Selenium
Demonstrated experience in design, development of Test Automation tools and Frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber etc.
Demonstrated experience of good object-oriented design and coding skills (Java)
Ability to write simple to complex SQL queries
Basic understanding on databases like Postgres/ Oracle/DB2
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and release management tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket etc.) would be an added advantage
Partner with internal clients, like Product Managers, to align business goals with implementation results.
