We are looking for extraordinary Software Engineers to develop and productize NVIDIA’s DRIVE OS software. As a member of NVIDIA’s Solution Engineering team, you will adapt DRIVE OS solutions to various car platforms equipped with different sensors. This includes but is not limited to architecting, developing and adapting different system components like bootloaders, OS device drivers and frameworks for virtualized environments guided by functional safety architecture ( ISO26262 standard ) to meet different OEM requirements. This role also involves building close technical relationships with our partners during product development and coordinate with the architecture and software teams to develop the best solutions for partners working on our platform. NVIDIA’s deep learning platform has already made a major impact to the field and is broadly used across leading academic institutions, start-ups, and industry, including the world’s largest Internet companies. We need passionate, hard-working and creative people to help us take on more of these challenging opportunities in Autonomous Driving. We are looking for a Senior System Software Engineer with strong experience in QNX/Linux operating system, Device Drivers development, virtualization and ARM architecture.
What you will be doing:
Architecture and development of a framework that enables applications to communicate, synchronize and manage shared resource s in safety critical systems.
Architecture, development and enhancement of native and para-virtualized drivers on QNX /Linux.
Lead the architecture discussions for SW components and directly interface with customers to support DRIVE software solutions.
Continuously evolve and support requirements gathering process and traceability flow.
Actively coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to meet customer’s requirements and to drive complex issues to closure.
Participate in architectural explorations which include feasibility studies, safety evaluations and data analysis.
Hardware configuration and performance tuning
Participate and lead Chip and Board bringup
Interface with ASIC teams
Features and enhancements for customers
What we need to see:
BS/MS or equivalent experience.
8+ years of overall experience and preferably with 2+ years of automotive industry experience.
Strong understanding of QNX /Linux operating system and hands-on experience with QNX /Linux device driver development
Expert C programming skills
Deep understanding of ARM processor architecture fundamentals
Strong background in embedded software development and deep knowledge of product development lifecycle.
Exposure to functional safety architecture to meet ISO26262 standard.
Exposure to Hypervisor and device driver development for virtualized environments
Effective written and verbal communication regardless of audience or issue complexity.
