Firemark Singapore is hiring for a Senior UI Designer, the ideal candidate will be energetic, passionate and must have a can-do attitude. We are a small team with big ideas and big ambitions and we build teams which are whole-heartedly bought into our vision to make the world safer. Resilience and ability to see opportunity in the face of failure are must-have qualities.

As a Senior UI Designer, you will support Product teams from ideation, through to delivery.

Firemark being an innovation lab that harnesses novel technologies (eg. Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, NLP etc.) in solving big problems, the Senior UI designer must be able to think out of the box and visualize serving a new, safer world with desirable, useful, and usable modern digital designs. You are not a purist UI designer – you see the value of flexing into the UX space to understand user needs so that you can augment the customer experience with your UI prowess.
About the Team
We are a strong team of Service, UX, UI and Graphic Designers with diversified experience designing for disruptive tech such as Computer Vision in drowning detection, Natural Language Processing in a mental wellness app and LiDAR scanning for consumer 3D modelling

Basic Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
A portfolio that demonstrates strong knowledge and experience of UI design solutions that incorporate UX values
Experience in designing responsive high-fidelity mock-ups across devices (android, iOS, web)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead discussions and workshops to bring clarity to Product’s value proposition
Strong decision-making skills and an ability to clearly prioritise across projects
Experience working autonomously in cross-functional Scrum/Agile teams and pace
A keen eye for design and aesthetics, strong in conceptualising, visualising and creating high quality user interface designs and visual assets.
Proficient in design and workshopping tools such as Figma, Adobe suite, Miro
Bonus: Understanding of latest front-end development – HTML, CSS, Javascript

What to Expect:

Adept at creating, working with and maintaining design systems
Create wireframes, mock-ups and high-fidelity mock-ups across all desktop, mobile and tablet devices on Figma
Design innovative web/mobile/tablet experiences based on the understanding of personas, their behaviour and needs, as well as competitive market research and business strategy
Create user-centric, evidence-based UI designs with a sound knowledge of UI best practices
Passionate about building and advocating value of UX/UI amongst project Teammates and the wider organization
Mentor and develop junior UI team members
