Looking for a fast-paced, fun environment where you can make an immediate impact? Skift, the most influential business media company covering the travel industry, is seeking an enthusiastic SEO & Social Media Writer to focus on all things boosting organic traffic. If implementing strategic multi-channel campaigns from start to finish – creative writing, strategic implementation, analytical review – is your jam, along with soft skills like being detail-oriented, innovative, and flourishing as an independent worker on a results-driven marketing team, we’re looking for you.

Skift is a fully distributed, remote company with a team based around the globe. This position is remote, from anywhere in India, and requires a high level of coordination and communication skills to be successful. You must be able to work independently, meet goals, and set tasks in a timely manner, join meetings via video, and periodically work outside normal company hours for special events or projects.
Some of What You’ll Do

Audit Skift websites for areas that can be improved.
Identify powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic, create SEO matrix to prioritize which are most important, write pillar content, and implement.
Analyze traffic health on ongoing basis, and implement multi-channel campaigns accordingly to optimize – this means strategizing angles, writing copy, utilizing CRM (Hubspot) to post on social media, WordPress to post on the internal sites, monitoring effort performance, and evaluating analytical success post-campaign.
Manage social media marketing calendar, and closely coordinate with necessary teams to ensure content deadlines are met. This includes posting marketing and cross-company editorial material.
Take a content-first approach in marketing material creation, working closely with the editorial team and Senior Marketing Manager to ensure effective language.

The Experience You Bring

SEO background, with demonstrated success managing and growing social media accounts for a large brand (bonus points if it’s a B2B media company).
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in online media or enterprise marketing roles, with a keen interest in the travel industry.
Clear understanding of digital publishing based on direct experience at media company or client-side role, with successful prior track record in creating/driving quantifiable KPIs and leveraging consumer data to build informed campaigns.
Deep understanding of marketing metrics, as they relate to campaign management and reporting.
Experience with in-depth analytics and problem solving. The ability to think strategically while being detail and execution-oriented, and proven success in managing competing priorities.
Must exhibit proficiency with a variety of commonly used digital marketing and CRM tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Hubspot, Excel.
Comfortable writing marketing content, along with an “eagle-eye” for grammar, brand voice, and style guidelines.
