Are you a Site Agent looking for your next opportunity? If so, this fantastic opportunity to join the Ringway Jacobs Team in Bedfordshire could be for you. You will be tasked with managing the construction phase of scheme works across Client Portfolio’s and External Clients. The Role
Effectively lead and manage the construction phase of Central Bedfordshire Council and external client schemes.Provide input into buildability during design phase. Resolve construction issues for design team members and provide advice where necessary.Coordination between the design team and the build team during the project start up.
Work with the Commercial team in the development of Target Costs.Develop, manage and ensure compliance with the agreed scheme programmes.To promote safe working practices in accordance with Ringway Jacobs Health & Safety Policy and to lead by example demonstrating commitment for zero incidentsInstigate pre-start meetings with all sub-contractors that will be carrying out the worksDevelopment of Construction Phase Plan and review of supply chain partners’ risk assessments and method statements.
About You
Ability to engage and conduct effective negotiations with client, stakeholders, subcontractors and third partiesA comprehensive understanding of highway maintenance and worksUnderstanding of the NEC3 form of contract and its application within Highways WorksA detailed understanding of Health & Safety legislationCITB Site managers safety training scheme (SMSTS Managing Safety) or equivalentHNC Civil Engineering or equivalent preferable
