Job Description : 5+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
Experience partnering with product OR program management teams
3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
3+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Robotics related technical discipline
Experience with delivering software projects using Agile / Scrum methodologies
Experience hiring and growing engineering talent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager, you will be leading a team of Engineers to invent and deliver new experiences for home robots and advance the field of Intelligent Motion. Your team will be responsible to create engaging user experience using mobility and Computer Vision. You will be owning ambiguous business problems and will be influencing the strategic direction of the team. You will influence roadmaps of other teams that overlap in business or technical domains. You will identify risks, plan mitigations and communicate to the senior leadership. You will establish and streamline metrics, development, engineering, test, and operational excellence best practices. You understand the team’s architecture and its effect on other architectures. You lead the team to invent, evolve, and deliver high quality software. You establish structures that enable your team to deliver large systems and/or difficult software initiatives.
Experience leading device and cloud experiences
Experience developing android applications and backend services
Experience building applications to provide an engaging user experience
