Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Azure Synapse Data Engineer, you will be part of agile team to migrate applications from DataStage ETL to Microsoft Azure while adhering to the best coding development standards.
Your key responsibilities include:
Understand the existing transformation logic implemented DataStage ETL, SQL and migrate in Azure
Develop data pipeline using mix of language Python, PySpark, SQL, etc., for data processing in Azure Synapse/Data factory
Use Data engineering techniques to design solution/product for processing large data into Azure with certain business transformation rule
Create, deploy, and optimize large scale data processing
Host third party API in Azure echo system and integrate with ETL processing
Support deployment and DevOps activities
Should be able to develop complex design and High-performance packages
Follow data standards and complete unit testing for packages and fix defects raised by QA team
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Azure Synapse or ADF & Pipeline
Hands-on experience on PySpark
Data processing using Python and PySpark
SQL and T-SQL
Strong knowledge in BIDW and Data Base Concepts
Strong Analytical skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Deep experience in developing data processing, data manipulation tasks using PySpark such as reading data from external source, merge data, perform data enrichment, and load data into target data destinations
Good understanding of Data warehousing design concept and strong Analytical skills
