As a software engineer on the Credit Platform team you will help build and enhance a suite of tools that allow our US and international Credit customers to apply for and use our various credit products. We need you to assist us in developing high quality, high performing, secure applications and participate in all aspects of application development including design, coding, security, testing, and production releases. You will be delivering new features, reacting to customer feedback, helping to ensure quality, working closely with our product team and ensuring compliance. This will include developing new features, enhancements, and bug fixes on various platforms such as Teradata, GCP etc., You’ll work closely with our Product team in an agile environment to bring features from conception to launch. Furthermore, you will participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and shared knowledge and collaborate with other teams across Credit to ensure transparency and effective delivery.

Responsibilities:
In this role, the individual will be part of the Credit data engineering team within Credit Platform organization and have the following responsibilities (not an exhaustive list).
Participating and collaborating with cross functional teams in the organization to understand the business requirements and to deliver solutions that can scale.
Planning the execution of the project in an effective and efficient manner.
Applying creativity and out of the box thinking.
Proactively anticipating problems and appropriately communicating to the team and management in a timely manner.
Being flexible and being able to support all functions of product life cycle when required.
Adapting quickly and working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to deliver with high quality from coarse grained requirements
Be a Mentor for the junior members in the organization.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in the IT industry, experience in Data space is preferred.
Work experience in Teradata system with strong SQL programming skills
Work experience of any cloud platform is preferred
Working experience on shell scripting is preferred
Work experience in Hadoop – Spark, Scala/ Python is a plus
Knowledge of Scheduling Tools is a plus
Expertise in database programming and performance tuning techniques in Teradata is a plus
Experience with data warehousing architecture
Strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities.
