Senior Software Engineer (Java Full-Stack, Microservices, AWS)
Role description
Analyse, design, develop and deploy software code in support of product development and delivery organization, product maintenance, and ongoing product development.
Participate in agile development process across multiple squads, products, or architects’ Guild.
Work collaboratively with functional managers and project leads in a balanced matrix organization; interface with QA and automated testing teams.
Participate in activities to refine requirements, recommend solutions, and ensure appropriate componentization and reusability.
Demonstrate a high level of curiosity and keep abreast of the latest domain and relevant technology trends.
A successful candidate must have
A Batchelors/Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
Desire to grow with the organization into a technical leadership position.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills .
Ability to work as an individual contributor with N-tier architecture design skills.
An understanding of AJAX and other Web 2.0 technologies.
Database experience with SQL and NoSQL structures (Postgres is highly recommended).
JVM based language experience (Java-8, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Batch).
Solid understanding of OOP concepts.
Solid understanding of design patterns.
Familiarity with modern version control systems like Bitbucket, GitLab.
Working knowledge in Rest APIs.
Working knowledge with foundational services offered by AWS including compute, storage, networking, database, Application Services and IAM.
Familiarity with one or more unit testing frameworks.
Exposure to CI/CD solutions such as Jenkins / Puppet / Chef·
A preferred candidate will have
Experience with Swagger or similar tool.
Experience with Angular framework , NodeJS, API Integration etc.
Familiarity with Agile methodology.
Prior experience in data driven and/or workflow applications preferred.
Prior experience working in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry.
