What you will be doing:
Significant contributions to architecture, design, and implementation of end-to-end solutions/enhancements
Work on day-to-day development activities including defect identification, fixing, unit testing, code review, and documentation.
Exploration of possible PoCs/prototypes aligned to business requirements and validations – for on-premise, cloud and containerised deployments.
Ensure high quality of all code developed by thorough unit testing and code reviews.
Handle customer escalations and provide timely and high quality analysis and patches on one or more platforms.
Collaborate with other members of the team while working on various development activities.
Work with cross functional teams within high availability products (QA, Dev, Docs, Support) and across Veritas products.
Come up with customer solutions in form of white papers, POCs’, demos to resolve customer pain points.
What skills, experience and education you need as a team member to succeed:
Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science / MCA
3-5 yrs working experience
Strong skills in Data Structures , C/C++
Excellent python or perl scripting skills.
Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis
Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies and developing solutions towards application resiliency, performance, scalability needs for cloud. (AWS/Azure/GCP) or private cloud (VMWare, Nutanix)
Application knowledge for HA-DR, Performance needs would be added advantage.
Working with cloud services towards cost optimization, scale would be added advantage
Knowledge of cloud deployment methods (CFT/AWS, ARM/Azure, Terraform) and any hands-on experience on it will be an added advantage.
Good experience on UNIX/Linux platforms – Storage, Networking, Virtualization, File Systems working and OS administrative knowledge
Effective collaboration skills for coming up with apt architectures and designs for end-to-end solutions.
Good communication and presentation skills – written and verbal.
Highly self-motivated, goal oriented, and self-directed
