Job Description : Overview:

Quest is looking for an experienced QA engineer who is both proficient with manual as well as automation testing. You will participate in testing and maintaining Quest’s data backup and recovery solutions that cover wide variety of platforms and applications. Your duties will include running regression, acceptance and automation tests as well as working with support team on escalation cases. You will work in a fast-paced environment with an experienced and highly technical team of Quest engineers to solve a wide range of unique and fascinating problems.
Responsibilities:
Run regression, smoke, integration, and acceptance testsCreate test plans, test cases, run tests and automate themBe an advocate for getting high quality features with great user experience incorporated into the product
Provide initial troubleshooting for internal and field issuesBe the go-to person for questions that come from products support team
Qualifications:
Experience with storage backup and recovery productsExperience with Windows storage components/products such as VSS, backup, file systems, etc.Experience with Linux platformsThorough understanding of Windows, Hyper-V, VMware solutions
Experience with PowerShell and PesterTest Automation – excellent programming skills with one or more languages like Python. Experience with automation frameworksWorked on multiple products through the full product life cycle from product concept to product releaseDemonstrated track record of being a key contributor on successful productsExcellent initiative and motivation. Ability to work independently and drive problems to a solution with optimal efforts and minimal supervision.
Experience leading QA and escalation team membersMinimum of 10 years software testing experienceBE in CS, ECE or related field, MS/MTech preferred
