GovTech is seeking a Solutions Consultant, as part of the CODEX team, to engage and provide consultation to support agencies migration of applications to GCC (Government on Commercial Cloud) and adoption of SGTS product, in support the government cloud adoption program. CODEX is a strategic national project, and the CODEX platform presents a huge opportunity to rationalise and consolidate a federated agency hosting and infrastructure through modern cloud architecture implementation and the modernising of Government applications through adoption of agile development practices. The CODEX platform currently includes the SG Tech Stack (SGTS) and Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC).
The role is expected to leverage and work closely with stakeholders within GovTech and government agencies, including product managers, development teams and project managers, in active engagements by providing cloud migration consultancy and solutioning.
This role also provides an excellent opportunity to collaborate with the different stakeholders to map business knowledge against cloud technology and to promote the adoption of GCC across the whole of government. An ideal candidate should also be open to driving the adoption of the CODEX platforms, in particular GCC and SGTS (SG Tech Stack) over time.
What you will be working on:
Work with agencies stakeholders to provide solutioning and cloud migration advice, map business requirements to cloud technology and provide consultancy on the use of GCC.
Integration of multiple GCC and SGTS products and solutions to meet business needs, as appropriate.
Define and measure cloud migration metrics.
Track and manage the lifecycle of cloud migration progress for selected government agencies.
Promote and share new capabilities of GCC and SGTS when new features are released.
What we are looking for:
Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, Information Technology, or similar
Proven experience in performing cloud solutioning or customer engagement role related to commercial cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
Ability to present effectively and explain complex, technical concepts in simple, easy to understand terms.
Demonstrate effective problem-solving capabilities in commercial cloud domain, ability to understand ground challenges and map technical problems to solutions.
Experienced in working with multiple teams, especially in large cross-functional projects
Able to function independently, possess a mindset to challenge status quo and constantly seeking continuous improvement
Some hands-on experience with cloud project implementations is preferred
High attention to detail, accuracy, meticulous to figures and processes in high agility environment.
Passion for automation, standardization and best practices in commercial cloud domain.
Some DevSecOps and app modernisation (e.g. understanding of containers etc.) experience will be a bonus capability.
