Job Description : Position: Tech Lead / Specialist Technical Writer
Responsibilities
Design and develop documentation aimed at software developers and installers.
Provide clear, concise, and user-friendly information that follows our style guide.
Work with product management and R&D towards continuous improvement of documentation.
Fix documentation bugs and ensure enterprise grade quality.
Function as a proactive and independent team member in an Agile environment: attend sprint grooming meetings, align with sprint deadlines, meet with SMEs to understand what’s in scope, assess documentation impact, and create a documentation plan.
Contribute proactively to process improvement activities.
Qualifications and Experience
Native English speaker proficiency – with excellent writing, editing, and communication skills: writing should not contain grammatical errors.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline.
4 to 10 years of hands-on experience as a technical writer in a software company.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft IT concepts/tools.
Ability to learn complex technology and tools; including software scripts and connectors.
Expertise in documentation development including diagrams, graphics, and other visual content with an eye for details.
Experience writing concisely and presenting information in a way that’s easy for the user to understand.
Ability to install software product, navigate through its user interface, hold discussions with product management and R&D to understand the functionality, and present it clearly and concisely.
Experience working in Agile environment.
Proven experience in operating within a global, matrix environment.
Background in software development; a strong advantage
Experience with single-source authoring tools: MadCap Flare an advantage.
