The Product team at PPCOE makes it easy for our Team Members to do their jobs and create confidence that the price a Guest pays is the right price, executed flawlessly throughout the Guest Experience. We have 4 groups of product portfolios – Pricing, Competitive Intelligence, Promotions and Clearance Product teams, each focusing on building products with strategic intent of enabling sustainable business capabilities that serve the needs of the enterprise.
The CompIntel Product Portfolio Vision
We help price 100% of items that are competitively shopped across Target stores and online, while also helping increase the number of items being competitively priced. We are the one stop shop for all of Target’s competitor needs. We improve guest experience by generating timely, accurate and actionable insights through gathering competitor data.
Product Teams at Target are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. This role is spread across the entire product portfolio and owns insights, data quality & dashboards on competitive intelligence data.
About the Job:
As a Senior Product Owner in Competitive Intelligence, owning Insights for the portfolio, you will be responsible for driving data quality & insights across all the products in the portfolio. Having a solid understanding of data capabilities is a must – dashboarding, data storage, compute, and big data analytics. This includes utilizing technologies like SQL and Hadoop components (Hive, HDFS, Spark) to build the right set of metrics and establishing quality measurements.
You will partner with Data engineering, Analytics, Business and other Product owners to build and drive adoption of key Comp Intel dashboards and insights. You will set up the 2022+ roadmap by quarter, create and own the product OKRs (Objective-Key Results) across these areas.
Must haves:
About You:
5+ years overall work experience
Master’s degree in Strategy/Product management/Analytics
Proven hands-on experience with Domo, Tableau & other Visualization tools (incl homegrown platforms) and a deep understanding of core DW/BI concepts.
Proven Data analytics + dashboard experience
Good working knowledge of SQL or PL/SQL/Python
Hands on experience in object oriented or functional programming such as Scala &/or Python or Java
2-3 years of experience in core analytics domain
Conceptual understanding of analytical techniques like Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Time-series models, Classification Techniques, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex analytical methodologies to clients regardless of the client’s technical expertise
Ability to sort through ambiguity
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maximize relationships
Excellent communication skills
