Project description
This position is part of Global Platform Services team with a vision of building a common platform-as-a-service for entire Xperi which provides a stable, reliable, scalable, and observable infrastructure that can be used by various service deployment topologies.
Job Purpose:
Building of Global Platform Services team is a very important initiative for 2022 in Xperi with a potential of making short and long term impact to all businesses in Xperi.
Here’s what you get to do:
Lead challenging, high visibility development efforts amongst senior engineering teams across the TiVo Service organization.
Prolific producer of design, code, documentation, and delivery.
Drive and resolve day to day technical issues that are important to our customers. Regularly communicate status to internal and external stakeholders including senior executives.
Work collaboratively with various members of the team, other teams, and other business units
Contribute to a supportive and incubative culture.
Represent the Service Engineering team and its technology in technical and project meetings.
Hands-on, can-do approach where no task is too small.
Keep things simple and iterate toward the right solution using data-driven decision making
Drive continuous delivery approach to development and release
Evangelize full-stack mentality and contemporary approach to operations and observability and config-as-code
Who we are looking for?
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of individual contributor, software development experience on projects spanning the full lifecycle of development, preferably with experience in Java or Golang and developing web services for a variety of consumer applications.
Demonstrable experience with both Agile and waterfall engineering processes.
Experience delivering, integrating, and deploying web services and working with partners and customers to deliver innovative solutions.
Experience with operational aspects of On-Premise and Public Cloud deployments
Experience with:
Kafka
Relational databases – MariaDB, MySQL, RDS
12-factor app development and microservice mentality
Experience with Kubernetes
AWS cloud technologies – specifically APIGW, lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, MSK, WAF, CF
Java, Golang
Jenkins, GitHub, Atlantis
Config-as-code automation including terraform
Splunk, Cloud Watch, and other observability strategies
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Passion for consumer electronics and entertainment industries
BE/BTech in CS/CE/EE or equivalent.

Overview of recruitment process
