We have an exciting opportunity to join our consulting team in a technical lead capacity! This is your opportunity to grow and expand the cloud-native development and integration services within Platform Engineering and apply your superior specialist knowledge in these areas and Microsoft Azure. This role has significant influence in the direction of critical problem-solving activities.

What will your typical day look like

The specialist lead role will be involved in leading technical teams (onshore and offshore) in different project phases from defining functional, non-functional, and operational requirements, through to planning, governance, and quality control. The role will involve defining conceptual architectures and develop solution options that match clients’ requirements and partnering with cross-functional technology teams to integrate solutions.

We are looking for an innovative and passionate technical and people manager to lead the execution of client engagements through structured problem solving, effective time management, and providing junior team members with support and guidance needed to deliver high quality outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following key capabilities:

Enjoying being a mentor and being part of a continuous learning environment
Foster inclusion, collaboration, and knowledge sharing
Strong Team player and experience leading the technical aspects of delivery – including code reviews; adherence to standards; continuous improving the teams technical approach.
6+ years of experience in the IT industry, including at least 2 years delivering distributed solutions on Azure
Ability to design and build API-based and distributed, cloud-native solutions with Microsoft Azure
Expertise in C#, .NET, and Visual Studio
Software development experience with Microsoft Azure, using services such as App Service, , Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Logic Apps, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Application Insights, Azure Kubernetes Service, Cosmos DB, Application Gateway, Azure networking, Azure Monitor, etc.
Prior experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar code repositories and automated build and release pipelines
Prior experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) such as ARM templates, Bicep templates, or Terraform; and scripting and automation using PowerShell or Azure CLI
Solution delivery with agile methodologies and CI/CD
Commercial awareness with an ability to think strategically in the delivery of cloud-based solutions
Comfortable working autonomously in a flexible and dynamic environment
Previous experience mentoring and coaching junior staff ;
Build authentic and trusted relationships with our clients and the broader Deloitte firm

Desirable skills and experience:
Previous consulting or client-facing experience;
Microsoft certifications and tertiary study will be highly regarded.
