The Business Analyst is responsible for breaking down business & customer problems, articulating requirements, understanding change impacts and delivering changes into production including executing & coordinating testing.
The role in part focuses on our CRM and business facing tooling and in this role you will also act as an SME of these solutions in a dedicated squad. The role also generally supports delivery of change to our Banking App, Internet Banking & other delivery as required. You will work with internal & vendor teams (on occasion) to implement change, supporting both ‘BAU’ as well as full scale projects. There will also be opportunity to grow & support initiatives across the whole business.
This role reports to the Head of Delivery.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE AT 86 400
Every day will be different. You will flex between discovery of new features/capabilities and also improving our existing systems. You’ll work with different internal & vendor teams. You could be brainstorming with the team one day and then testing & implementing another change the next. We are focused in what we do but are also responsive to our dynamic environment.
Your key tasks will include:
Facilitate requirements gathering with stakeholders & document to an agreed standard
Contribute to defining technology solutions that meet business & customer needs
Help to define acceptance criteria & support
Work with SME & delivery teams to plan tasks, deliverables & schedule delivery
Create and maintain documentation, and ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed of developing requirements and solutions
Identify and communicate risks and issues that may require change to plans or scope
Develop and maintain appropriate monitoring and reporting to demonstrate that all requirements have been delivered
Help to inform the most appropriate response to identified defects
Help to define capabilities and requirements to support transition to new solution
Respond quickly to changing organisational priorities
Act as a translator between business and technology to ensure technology meets business needs
Work with multiple vendors to deliver required changes

Good business planning, analytical and conceptual skills
Strong skills with Jira, Confluence
Business Analysis Techniques such as:

Test planning, preparation & execution

Stakeholder management
Essential:
Over 5 years’ delivery experience in the banking &/or financial services sector, with at least 3 years demonstrable business analyst experience
Experience in project/initiative delivery using agile methodologies
Experience with CRM and contact centre technologies and workflow systems
A desire to learn new things and tackle complex, data driven problems
Desirable:
Previous work experience in a digital banking environment
Experience in a greenfield or start-up organisation
Experience with Atlassian suite, online collaboration tools
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics cloud suite and tooling
