Job Description : Role:
Reporting to the Manager – Customer Experience, the Content Design Lead will be responsible for the smooth creation and delivery of industry-leading content across our solutions. Support the development and creation of digital content which builds the brand and enhances the customer experience, across all touchpoints.
You’ll help shape our tone and be the voice for our customers. You’ll create clear, concise, and useful content for customers. This role is best suited for someone that likes to delve into the topic and problem, unearthing the most practical solutions and compelling audience-focused angles to communicate.
Responsibilities:
A good command of the English language and impeccable grammar.
An understanding of complex problems and making them simple to understand:
Translate technical data into user-focused language.
Work collaboratively with project resources and SMEs to understand process and system changes.
Actively research our competitors so that you’re always aware of their activity and trends and use this to develop creative insights.
Internal and external stakeholder management (Sales, Product, Leadership, HR, Digital, etc.).
Adapting and refining a brand voice to suit any situation or platform:
Write and edit copy in line with our brand, tone of voice and brand style guidelines, and content strategies.
Writing, editing, storyboarding and scripting, content for User guide and technical documents.
Manage content projects, including commissioning, briefing, editing, and execution:
Create, own, and manage content and technical document calendars.
Contribute to creative concepts.
Oversee content requirements and create content strategy deliverables across a project lifecycle.
Create, curate and syndicate content to increase brand awareness and conversion rates.
Create and refine a content creation workflow to optimize delivery quality and efficiency.
Establish a set of content templates for each document type.
Create, maintain, and enforce documents on terminology and writing guidelines.
Excellent project management, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once:
Proactively and strategically plan content to achieve business goals and user needs.
Create, manage, and optimize online copy for our digital channels and email communications, including user guides, websites, learning management software. Etc.
Understand and develop content to the requirements of Business User Acceptance Testing teams.
Ultimately act as the custodian for all digital customer content.
Monitor analytics and recommend changes to increase engagement and ROI.
Research and keep up to date on new technical content strategies.
Functional & Technical Competencies:
Tertiary communications or marketing related qualifications with 4-7 years’ experience in content writing, experience in healthcare IT or IT consulting
Demonstrable experience creating technical online and offline content and communications in an “in-house” writer or communications role, ideally from a healthcare IT business. This is not an editorial style copywriter position.
Excellent writing skills (impeccable grammar, spelling and punctuation) with proven experience writing micro copy, long form content, sales/marketing, and instructional content for digital channels. A user centric approach to creating content that resonates with and is easily consumed by the target audience.
Ability to scope a project and set a realistic timeframe and have experience of delivering projects from start to finish.
Due to the cross-functional nature of this role you will need to be self-sufficient, an outstanding team collaborator, and the ability to self-manage your own projects and workflow to meet deadlines.
Experience managing multiple corporate stakeholders from a variety of disciplines, each with their own style and goals.
Exceptional organization and time management skills with an innate ability to self-motivate to get through large volumes of work.
Knowledge of SEO, User Experience, digital strategy, and web accessibility.
Some exposure to Agile methodologies and HTML/CSS is desirable.
