Roles & Responsibilities
At Horangi we’re building Warden, a multi-cloud Cloud Security Platform which features CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management), CIEM (Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management) and real-time Threat Monitoring. We’re seeking a number of highly motivated individuals to join our Product Engineering team to further strengthen our security platform. Horangi is also among the first Asia Pacific (APAC) companies to have obtained the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Competency, and was named 2021 AWS ISV Partner of the Year – ASEAN.

Horangi is looking for an experienced software engineering leader for a small team of engineers to design and build our cloud security product. This is a high visibility role contributing to our cloud security platform to advance our strategy at a high-growth B2B SaaS company in Asia.

You are someone who enjoys the fast pace of innovation in Cloud Technology as well as mentoring and developing people. You want to be part of a winning team building a SaaS product that secures cloud infrastructure across the top 5 Cloud Service Providers, and used by cloud innovators like Gojek, Singlife, Vodacom and Veraset.

What you’ll be doing
Contribute as a technology leader and drive all phases of the software development life cycle with Agile Scrum methodology and delivering new features on a continuous basis
Design and implement event driven cloud based services in AWS with Serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB)
Mentor and drive growth for a team of 4-5 software engineers in areas of technical scoping, feature implementation and code reviews
Advocate for high value technology and process improvements within your roadmap
Work closely with product and technology teams to understand customer requirements and define the delivery roadmap for the product
What your team will be doing
Strengthening Horangi’s position as a multi-cloud Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) SaaS platform by improving on product functionality and building advanced analysis features
Optimize our application framework that runs the security rules written by our cybersecurity specialists
Develop external APIs that are utilized by our customers consisting of cyber security professionals and software development teams
Build platform integration with mainstream SaaS platforms like Github, Gitlab, Jira and Slack
Continuous improvement on UI/UX as we pride ourselves as the security platform with the best user experience
Development on our scanner infrastructure and data pipeline that handles big data analytics workload
What we’re looking for
Leadership experience in an Engineering role with at least 5 years experience as a software developer. SaaS company background is a strong bonus
Experience in running critical operational pipelines, and a strong believer in “You build it, you run it” principle
Knowledge and experience using Python and NodeJS in a professional software engineering environment
Knowledge of Serverless and Container based technologies
A strong communicator who is comfortable in explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Worked in Agile driven team that is backed by CI/CD development pipelines
You want to advocate to ensure everyone on the team is happy, engaged and challenged
You want to develop your career in Cloud Technology and Cyber Security
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
Bonus points if you have
AWS cloud certification is a strong bonus
Contributed to open source projects
