Roles and Responsibilities
Snapdeal is looking for UI developers who are eager to tackle the challenges of a rapidly
growing web application with millions of daily visitors.
We’re looking for developers to help build rich, dynamic client-side interfaces or web
applications for desktop and mobile devices using JavaScript, leveraging new technologies
like HTML5 and CSS3, to launch fast/scalable products.
You will work closely with designers, product and engineers to craft outstanding user
experiences. You should believe in building a great user experience involves having a great
eye for detail and pushing the boundaries of front-end technologies.
Good Problem-solving & analytical skills
3+ years of experience and strong proficiency in UI development – JavaScript(ES5 &
ES6), OOJS, ReactJS (/Preact), HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, HTTP, Web APIs, Build tools like GruntJs / Webpack, Babel, NPM , GIT
Reusability & Modularity of UI components
Good knowledge of CSS preprocessors like SASS, CSS oriented design patterns like BEM
Exceptional debugging skills and knowledge of browser developer tools
Familiar with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services.
Knowledge of performance enhancement, fine tuning and performance improvement best practices
Work with developers to review stories and specifications and ensure that the teams are meeting the objectives of the business while maintaining technical and architectural standards.
Good understanding of Search Engine optimization & its impact
Understanding of Web and Information Security concepts and concerns, such as
CORS, CSP, CSRF, XSS, etc.
Must be aware of how single-page application and multi-page application works.
Must understand the difference between client side & server side rendering
Optimizing the application for performance and scalability using CDN, caching, etc.
Participate in the full SDLC (Agile), including meetings, iterative development, estimations, and design sessions Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Stay up to date with the newest trends in Front End; doing R&D on new updates and making recommendations on implementations.
PWA (Progressive Web Application), NodeJs, NextJs, SSR, Web Vitals
Knowledge of Unit Testing, UI automation
Working knowledge of MySQL an added advantage
