Job Description : ING is looking to bring on a UX designer, who is not only passionate about design itself but can also create the best experience for our customers. The purpose of these UX activities is to increase customer satisfaction, user-friendliness and accessibility of ING’s digital services, all of it by aligning with the bank’s strategy to increase customer engagement and conversion rates.
You’ll work closely with the UX lead, product and engineering teams to create innovative experiences across all of ING’s products. You’ll investigate users’ problems and make design decisions based on quantitative and qualitative data, keeping end-to-end responsibility for designing, engaging digital experiences for our customers.
We are looking for a colleague with a talent for taking it on and making it happen, enthusiasm for helping others to be successful and a knack for always being a step ahead. In other words, you strive to bring fresh ideas to life and embrace challenges in a fast-changing and complex environment.
What are you going to do? You will..
Work on large/complex digital initiatives in collaboration with UX & Design, Product Owners and Business Stakeholders.
Design and manage research aimed at a surfacing underlying customer needs, and testing and validating concept designs.
Contribute to the direction and development of concepts, solution opportunities, and design rationale to team members and stakeholders, and turning these concepts and ideas into an executable strategy.
Act as an advocate for user experience across the business, increasing engagement and business understanding of the value and benefits of this function, and effectively communicating research findings, conceptual ideas and detailed UX design rational.
What are we looking for? Someone who has…
Strong working knowledge of information architecture, task flow models, UI Specs, Design Specs, wireframing, prototyping and user-centred design principles.
3-5 years of experience as UX designer and has a solid UX portfolio.
Experience mentoring other UX Designers and working across large scale UX projects
Technical experience across Sketch, Figma, InVision or equivalent wireframing/ prototyping tools.
Good understanding of interface design principles for both native app and responsive web experiences.
