Brief
We are looking for a talented software engineer with web applications experience to join our team. The candidate should have very good knowledge and experience in PHP development with a proven record. Extra knowledge of various technologies like java and .Net will be preferred. You will be involved in new products and new feature development. You will be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and production support. You should have a professional attitude & capacity of working with a team of developers, seek new challenges and takes initiatives. As a PHP Developer/Programmer, you will be required to extensively work in PHP, MySQL, and AJAX/jQuery. You should possess good communication skills, work with minimal assistance and have the capacity of working in a team as well as independently.
Duties & Responsibilites
The web application Developer will architect, develop and/or maintain a variety of open-source projects. You will be expected to plan, research, develop logic, code, test and deploy several Web projects with minimal assistance. You will work as a part of a cross-functional team including graphic design, front-end UI developers, search engine optimization specialists, and project managers. You must be quick and accurate, adaptable and flexible to meet changing priorities and timelines.
You will be performing the following duties.
Create web application from mockups/layouts to fully functional deliverable.
Design, evaluate, update and maintain structural and object oriented web applications in PHP.
Translate client’s information into a functional application.
Develop functional and technical specifications for projects.
Determine all necessary coding requirements for the project/application.
Scope and estimate development effort for specific jobs.
Document the Analysis, Design and Development phases.
Install, configure and develop web applications.
Implement changes to existing applications/sites and update current information as directed by client.
Assist the team with HTML emails, ad banners, and various digital media projects.
Perform thorough QA testing including functional and cross-browser/platform compatibility.

Other Responsibilities include:
Advising the executives on the necessities and information required for the project.
Taking part in the preliminary planning of the project, meeting and discussing ideas related to it.
Taking part in development of multimedia animations, and interactive presentations in Flash and other multimedia tools which are related to the project.
Design and production of advertisements, postings, banners, flyers etc. (Web and print media) which are related to the project.
Responsible for any additional duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Required Skills
Required Skills in Brief: PHP / MySQL/HTML/XHTML/ CSS/JAVA SCRIPT/AJAX
We are looking for a web Developer with experience in open source technologies. You will be responsible for working on a number of projects at any one time using a complex range of technologies including PHP(LAMP), MySQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, CSS and OpenSource. You should have experience of OOP, have good analytical and code-translation skills. You should know how to build a web application from the ground up, as well as modify and build on existing code. You should know PHP & mySQL like the back of your hand. Experience in developing CMS using WordPress or joomla would be a major advantage.

Working Experience and/or knowledge of the following tools & technologies is a must:
HTML Coding Including CSS Coding, Table Based and Table Less HTML Coding. Must have strong knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS and Photoshop with practical experience. Image/Design Slicing and conversion to XHTML. Knowledge of playing with DIV based HTML layouts. Expertise in Web 2.0. designs.
Good command on JavaScript and frameworks like jQuery or prototype.
Solid PHP development experience with OOP, Good analytical and code-translation skills.
Must be a good Database engineer, Can work with or develop MySQL queries for complex scenarios. Should have hands on experience with joins and query analysis.
Understand the MVC architecture and have worked with it in some technology.
Strong web concepts. Knowledge of web services, and how to make it work with UI.
Knowledge (Working Experience) of opensource -CMS- Systems (WordPress / Joomla / Magento / Drupal/Zen Cart)
Preferably worked with any PHP framework will be a plus (symphony/Cake-PHP/Code Ignitor/Zend/Symfony/Yii)
Payment gateways PayPal, Authorize.net, Plimus , Google checkout ,Face book / Twitter apps
Experience in web-based tools, including XML manipulation (both parsing and writing) and experience with XML based applications and protocols
Web icons, images, and color schemes for use in browser based applications.
Knowledge of following will be an Asset
PEAR library / Knowledge of SEO / Design Patterns / W3C Web standards / Facebook / Twitter / You Tube / LinkedIn / Orkut

Required Experience & Qualification
The assignment would require the person to be an avid user of online products and bring in high-level of design sensibility with the ability to produce a variety of creative solutions. Comfortable working in flexible situations. Ability to think creatively and crystallize ideas in design form. The candidate should be able to confidently, effectively and efficiently interact with clients and with the team.The candidate should have good Web Development skills with 1-2 years of experience in HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, MySQL. Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills are necessary for the post.

Ideal candidate must be highly creative and have additional expertise in designing.
