Web Developers are required to be multi-skilled and typically have certificates, qualifications and specialised backgrounds.A successful applicant will have a demonstrated ability to work in a high-performance environment, with a capacity to deliver all requirements of the role, a great work ethic and the ability to work to a high standard within the team.Primary Duties –Maintaining and updating existing Australia Zoo websitesDevelopment and Maintenance of internal systems built on standard web technologiesDevelopment of additional functionality for existing websitesDeveloping new websites / rebuilding outdated websitesMaintaining legacy websites and code with little documentationEmail campaign and audience managementFinding fixes for bugs and compatibility issues in order to keep sites consistent and uniform across various platforms and devicesEnsuring website functionality, responsiveness and stability across devices (I.e.: desktop, mobile, tablet)Raising support tickets and issues with relevant third-party systemsEssential Criteria –**Knowledge and understanding of past and current Web TechnologiesExperience and education in development, design and maintenance of responsive, mobile first websitesKnowledge of SEO practices and standardsExperience working with the following: JavaScript, MYSQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, WordPress, GIT, RESTful API intergrationUnderstanding of the following: NodeJs, TypeScript, SASS, React, Hybrid App development, AWS, CD/CI techniques, Google Analytics, Payment API integrationDevelop front-end UI based on provided designsAppropriate tertiary qualificationsA demonstrated ability to work within a team in a high-pressure, flexible environment and to deliver all communications to a high levelExceptional attention to detailWell-developed organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasksA high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with staff at all levelsPreferred Criteria –**Current 1st Aid qualificationsRelevant technology certificationsAny other relevant certificates involving Leadership, Training, WHSApplications close 28th of February 2022.Here is a checklist of information you will need to have ready before you start to complete the employment application form:Education historyEmployment historyReferencesAny qualifications you may have e.g. First AidAny achievements you may like to tell us aboutYour availability (what hours can you work)A resume in .pdf or .doc formatAny other info that may support your applicationJob Type: Full-time
