Your Role and Responsibilities
Development for Private Cloud Infrastructure Services – Automation Developer
Automation Developer is an exemplary technical leader in his/her areas of practice; they bring deep experience from Design and Development leadership to client facing skills which are among the best in the industry.
This role is crucial to design and develop leading edge solutions using automation for clients worldwide using cloud and emerging technologies.
The role would involve working with highly skilled architects, deployment specialists and application developers to create service offerings that automate the build of complex and heterogeneous infrastructures to support customer workloads across private, hybrid and public clouds.
In this role he/she will design and implement best in class automation assets, that will be leveraged by the Kyndryl delivery teams worldwide to automate the build of modern IT infrastructures, including networking, storage, compute, virtualization, middleware and applications, to support customer workloads in different business domains. He/she will be the key technical reference for Kyndryl global delivery teams, working with these teams and directly with customers to gather new requirements and opportunities to improve the automation level of the Kykdryl service offerings
Initially focusing on automating the deployment of VMware based technologies, he/she will then expand the scope to include the technologies and solutions of all the other major cloud services providers.
The success of this role would be benchmarked globally with industry peers. Excellent practice and knowledge on Cloud based software development and tools, consummate thought leadership, constant innovation, and contribution to development of industry standards would be some of the key result areas in addition to meeting business metrics for the respective areas.
Total IT Experience: 8 – 10 years
Location: Bangalore
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3+ years of experience in S/W design and development
2+ years of experience in designing and developing automations using automation frameworks like Terraform, Ansible, Chef/Puppet, etc. and/or cloud native automation services
Good knowledge of most common programming languages like Java, Phyton, Perl, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, etc..
Working knowledge of one or more automation frameworks like Ansible, AWX, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, etc…
Working working knowledge on PaaS & SaaS automation development services on one or more hyperscalers
Strong working knowledge of Container (Docker) and Container orchestration platform (Kubernetes).
Sound working knowledge of Kubernetes advance concepts (Service Mesh, Kubernetes Operators) and containers networking
Expertise of CI/CD pipeline integration with any Kubernetes platform (Jenkins, CodeStream, Tekton, ArgoCD etc..)
Good understanding of design and development of distributed scalable
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Application Developer specialties certifications from one or more of Public Cloud Architect certification – AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
VMware VCP-DCV and/or VCAP/DCV Design (preferred) certifications in Data Center Virtualization, Cloud Management and Automation, Network Virtualization
