Position Overview
Change Healthcare is looking for product manager responsible for working with internal and external customers to drive adoption of electronic prior authorization. The candidate will look for opportunities to enhance the existing prior authorization solution and identify new strategies for engaging with our platform and partners. You will work with internal and external partners to improve our capabilities, ensure operational excellence, and achieve business objectives around growth and profitability. This position combines the benefits of joining a fast-growing, agile team while leveraging Change Healthcare’s robust set of healthcare technology capabilities. The individual will also provide input regarding the product roadmap and product features and functions. Key components to success in this role are critical thinking capabilities, excellent communication and collaboration skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a demonstrated track record of cross-functional partnership. Ideally, you have a deep understanding of provider and payer workflows for prior authorization, utilization management, patient access or revenue cycle.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Translate business, market, and customer needs (collaborating with the Business Leads) into product strategy and requirements (e.g., functional and technical design documents).
Prioritize features for releases and maintain frequent incremental approach to enhancements
Working with onshore and offshore development teams, prioritizes engineering work balancing the existing product back log, new features and enhancements and technical debt considering the requirements of customers and stakeholders.
Work with external partners to align deliverables and coordinate the release of required features.
Communicate the development status, issues, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
Understand the scope and business implication of technical decisions and enablers, providing input on decision and sequencing of technical enablers required for platform integration
What are the requirements needed for this position?
3+ years in broad and deep healthcare product management experience.
4-year Degree in Software, Engineering, Business, Sciences, or Healthcare related field.
What critical skills are needed for you to consider someone for this position?
Experience with Agile development processes.
Proficiency with various software applications, including but not limited to: MS Office, MS Visio, and SharePoint.
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Experience designing and leading requirements elicitation workshops, Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, and other similar requirements discovery sessions with customers or end users.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a succinct and clear manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
High level of project organization, attention to detail, and time management.
Experience with revenue cycle, EHR implementations, payer operations, and/or provider operations is a plus.
Experience in the development of SaaS enterprise cloud solution is a plus
Experience with JIRA and AHA! a plus.
