In a way, you act as a translator, providing users with the information that will resonate best with them based on their background.The RequirementAs a Technical Writer you are expected to create documentation and education materials to boost user experience on Engagedly platform. Such documentation may come in the form of user guides, integration guides, API developer guides, in-platform instructions, installation/configuration instructions and system operations.Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirementsIndependently gather information to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentationWork with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storageResearch, create, and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards, and allow for easy data migrationDevelop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentationThe Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who is curious, embraces a growth mindset, engages in constructive debate/discussions, takes initiative, drives results, embraces change while being agile.A person who thrives working with and learning from others. Passionate to make a difference through great deliverables and is able to meaningfully contribute towards the success of our organization and it’s clients.Essential requirements to this role:Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field2-4 years’ industry experience as an effective technical writerProven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topicsPrevious experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiencesSuperior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detailExperience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content## Preferred QualificationsProven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritizationFirm understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC)Previous software development experienceCertification through the Society for Technical CommunicatorsExperience using XML tools to create documentation.The role mentioned above is required to support our clients in North America and hence the suggested work timings, though slightly flexible, would be IST 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.If this role sounds exciting, challenging and interesting, then you could apply directly through our company’s website or share your profiles at bindurani@engagedly.comAll the best!Job Type: Full-time
